The last of the RootsMagic updates tonight – version 3.0.4 of this Windows genealogy program has been released. This is a free upgrade for existing RootsMagic 3 customers. The most interesting/significant update – you can now search or select people by color coding (introduced in RootsMagic 2).
What’s New:
- Can search or select people by color coding
- Exporting GEDCOM of selected people, list defaults to current person now
- Eliminated “flash” on some systems when opening edit screens
- Add child lets you add new or existing for more than just first child now
- Added shortcuts on New Person dialog
- Added option to not have date on backup file name
- Printing correspondence reports with huge details won’t crash anymore
- Family Origins import sets document links as document now
- Changed “Multi-Cite” hotkey so it doesn’t conflict with “Merge” hotkey on source list
- Comment area for FGS allows more than 2 lines again
- Fixed occasional crashes when using Merge on source list
