Andrew Hoyle / Chronoplex Software has released a major (massive) update to his genealogy program, My Family Tree 14.1. It’s a Windows genealogy application that maintains a high compatibility with all GEDCOM versions, including the latest GEDCOM 7.0 specifications (and he also has a genealogy utility, GEDCOM Validator as well). It supports over 30 languages, with Croatian being added in this release.
For a full run-down of all changes with screenshots, please see his blog post.
He added a new discrepancy check for births, as well as major improvements/additions in its media handling in these areas:
- Gallery/Multimedia views
- Image Adjustments
- Slideshows
- Grouping and Filtering Multimedia
The image adjustments include working restoring faded/yellowed photographs, as well as cropping, and the gallery view now works much better with images of various sizes.
