Clooz 4.2.4.0

Clooz 4.2.4.0 was released earlier this week by Ancestral Systems, LLC. and it’s mainly bug fixes, with an improved auto-generation of tabular templates. Clooz is not a traditional genealogical database program (but it interfaces with typical genealogy programs), rather it is an amazing genealogy research tool (Windows-only although it’s easy to run under a virtualized Windows session on Macs and Linux computers), helping you to organize and manage your genealogy-related documents and it helps lay out a roadmap for your research.

It has over 230 different templates for the information you have, and can generate several different types of reports with different formats (Adobe PDF, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, RTF, XML, etc.

At this time, I believe it supports working directly with external databases from:

  • Ancestral Quest
  • Family Historian
  • Legacy Family Tree
  • RootsMagic

It can also work with importing and exporting GEDCOM files.

Current users can “Check for Updates” from within Clooz, and interested genealogists can download a demo here: https://shop.clooz.com
