Brother’s Keeper 6.2.4 (bkwin.org) has been released. Brother’s Keeper is a Windows genealogy shareware program that will help you organize your family history information and let you print a large variety of charts and reports. BK5 works with Windows 3.1 and up with 8 megs RAM or more. BK6 works with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP. There is no charge to download BK to try it out.
Changed:
- On Book reports, if an event date and location are blank, but it has a source attached, it will print the event name and source.
- On Book reports, a change was made in version 6.2.1 to print a blank line after notes of one spouse before printing another spouse (in certain circumstances). This has been further modified in version 6.2.4 to not print that extra blank line if the children are printed after the note instead of another spouse being printed. This change was made to fix a problem of an extra blank line in some situations.
Fixed:
- When viewing a list of names, if the bottom line says “click here for more” it will not give an error now if you accidentally double click it.
Developer’s Notes:
If you already have BK 6 installed, you can download bkupdate.exe to update to the current version.
To see what version of BK 6 you have, pick Help from the main menu, then About BK.
Sorry for the frequent updates, but if I can fix a problem quickly, I do not want to make people wait.
