Yesterday, Stichting Aldfaer released an update to its free Dutch-language Aldfaer Windows genealogy program, bringing it up to Aldfaer v11.1. It’s the first update since the 11.0 release in September, and 11.1 is focused on speed/optimization, along with bug fixes and some improvements on the Maintenance window and Merge functions.
Note: All of the following is based on a translation of the Aldfaer page (link) and errors may result.

As previously noted in the 11.0 article, if you’ve held off upgrading, upgrading from Aldfaer 7 and newer is straightforward, but make sure that if you are currently running Aldfaer 7, that all family trees you have in Aldfaer have at least been opened in Aldfaer 7. Family trees created in older versions of Aldfaer 7 will need to be converted.
Note – Mac Users: Aldfaer 7.1 was the last version to run under macOS / Mac OS X (32-bit only).
