In its 10th season, PBS TV’s genealogy series, Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, JR., has received its first ever Emmy nomination for Outstanding Nonfiction Series or Special! This is a very big honor for the show, and speaks to both its popularity and the quality of the show.
The 76th Emmy Awards will be broadcast her win the US on ABC on Sunday, September 15th, 8-11:00 PM EDT.
Finding Your Roots will be competing with four other shows, and the competition is very tough – Henry Louis Gates, JR will be going up against Conan O’Brien, John Wilson, David Letterman and John Mulaney, and Eugene Levy – the nominees are:
- Conan O’Brien Must Go (Max)
- Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates JR.
- How to with John Wilson
- My Next Guest with David Letterman and John Mulaney
- The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy
