The Master Genealogist (TMG) is a genealogy application developed by Bob Velke (Wholly Genes Software) and originally released as a DOS application in 1991 (actually a pre-release) with the official release occurring in 1993. In 1996, a Windows version was released. TMG catered towards “power users” and professional genealogists. Development ceased in 2014 with version 9.05, but there is still an active user base at the WhollyGenes.com (forums) and you can still purchase a license (WhollyGenes.com).
Second Site is a Windows application that allows you greater control over the HTML output from TMG, and it is still being actively developed.
WhollyGenes.com maintains an archive of newsletters.
