GRAMPS

Gramps 5 is part of the open-source (free) Gramps genealogy project, which started in 2001 and continues through today. Gramps stands for Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Programming System, and it is a cross-platform application (the only “mainstream” open-source genealogy application) that runs on Linux/BSD, Windows, and macOS. The feature set is the same for all platforms, and it has been recently compiled for Apple’s Silicon CPUs (M1, M2).
