Gramps is a cross-platform (Linux, BSD, macOS, Windows) genealogy application first released on April 21, 2001 (Gramps version 0.1.1) by Don Allingham (link). Originally, it was known as “Relativity” instead of Gramps. In active development as of 2024 (Gramps 5).
Gramps stand for Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Programming System.
