Genealogy Software Briefs – Nov 3, 2024

These are the “minor” genealogy software updates that have been released since last Sunday, October 27, 2024. Mainly bug fixes and optimizations.

Note: iOS/iPadOS (iPhone, iPad) and Google Android updates, as well as browser extensions, need to be downloaded from their respective stores. It’s not uncommon for the version numbers and release dates between the same app on different platforms (iPhone vs Android) to be different or slightly off. When the updates are the same between two platforms, the updates are only listed once.

WikiTree Browser Extension v1.23 (stable) – Chrome/Firefox (link)

  • Collapsible Profiles: Adds a Collapse button to profiles and space pages to collapse the sections of a page and make them togglable. This may be useful for very long pages.
  • Add ‘without’ text box to category filters to filter out unwanted profiles.
  • Help: Adds the WBE option controls to the help/space page.
  • Pending Merges Filters: Adds buttons to Pending Merges page to filter out those which are Pre-1500, Pre-1700, and/or Not Open.
