These are the “minor” genealogy software updates that have been released since last Sunday, November 3, 2024. Mainly bug fixes and optimizations.
Note: iOS/iPadOS (iPhone, iPad) and Google Android updates, as well as browser extensions, need to be downloaded from their respective stores. It’s not uncommon for the version numbers and release dates between the same app on different platforms (iPhone vs Android) to be different or slightly off. When the updates are the same between two platforms, the updates are only listed once.
If you don’t see an update to a particular genealogy app/program that you know received an update, that’s probably because it’s going to be featured in its own article later today (Nov 10, 2024). I have quite a few to finish.

- Unsure of changes – probably bug fixes and optimizations (the usual with mobile apps)
Genealogy Assistant – Chrome Browser Extension
- Genealogy Assistant v1.4.8 – November 7, 2024
- Added “Default Sort by Highest Mutual Matches”
- Added “Add Quick Sort Links to Shared Matches”.
- You can now also use keyboard shortcuts in Advanced Research Tools.

- Bug fixes for “Skip 10 and 25 Pages in Record Viewer”, “Text Records Name Auto-fill” and “Advanced Research Tools”.
