Internet Genealogy – Aug/Sept 2021

I just received the latest digital issue of Internet Genealogy in my email – it’s the August/September 2021 Edition.

I like to feature Internet Genealogy as I’ve enjoyed it for years, and the folks behind it have been willing to do a deep dive on genealogy software fairly frequently, and I’ve enjoyed the columnists that write for it (and they are some major names in genealogy).

This month’s issue doesn’t cover any specific genealogy software, but they do discuss videos from state archives that have been making their way onto YouTube, Tony Bandy has an article about AI (artificial intelligence) being used within the genealogy industry, from correcting or enhancing photos to linking various documents together to extracting information from various collections. Lisa A. Alzo also takes a look at Deep Nostalgia from MyHeritage, the technology that can colorize and animate old family photos.
