GEDitCOM II Version 3.2 build 3

GEDitCOM II version 3.2, build 3 has been released for Macs, and is focused on fixing a few issues, working with modules, raw GEDCOM editing, and working with multimedia files that might be in a cloud-based service.

It requires at least macOS High Sierra 10.13 or higher, and is a free upgrade for currently-registered users of GEDitCOM II and can be downloaded here: http://www.geditcom.com/GCDown.html

You can read (and ask any questions) on the official GEDitCOM II Google Groups.

Developer’s Note: I also did some tinkering with attaching multimedia files to better deal with files that might be in the cloud (and therefore have zero size on your disk). GEDitCOM II will try to warn you if a file is in the cloud and needs to be made available for off-line viewing (which GEDitCOM II needs for some feature such as moving or copying files for for dynamically creating thumbnails). The multimedia summary report was also updated to list and files currently in the cloud.

GEDitCOM II 3.2 Build 3 Changes
Fixed several memory leaks (only one mattered and that was in some internal scripts that used certain string methods).
The menu command to editing raw GEDCOM data now colors relevant text as well as selecting it and scrolling it into view (relevant text is data you were viewing in a record).
Internals scripts can “Load” subroutines files in the “Modules” folder (and not just those in the same extension). You should put your own modules in the user domain. The next release might have a System internal scripting module with utility subroutines.
A few more minor changes in the “What’s New” help topic.
