Earlier this month, MyHeritage released Family Tree Builder 8.0.0 build 8645 (or Family Tree Builder 8.0.0.8645), it’s free desktop genealogy program for Windows and Macs, that synchronizes both with the MyHeritage mobile app (iOS and Android) as well as any family trees you currently have hosted on the MyHeritage service.
The build date for the Windows version of MyHeritage Family Tree Builder 8.0.0.8645 is June 3, 2024 judging by the date stamps on most of the files in the install program. What MyHeritage has updated in FTB is hard to say – they generally don’t release a version history/build notes/change logs with the desktop Family Tree Builder. The MyHeritage mobile apps (both Apple iOS and Google Android) usually release new updates with this wording: “We’ve enhanced our app’s performance and stability. Update now and enjoy a smoother and faster experience.”
Generally, the only time they mention anything tied to a specific build is when a new feature is added – bug fixes and/or improved performance/stability are obviously being rolled out with these builds, and that’s probably what this one is.
I just wish they’d spend a few minutes and release information on what was actually done – I think FTB users would like to know what is being done, given how important it is to many MyHeritage users.
As always, you can download both the Mac and Windows version here:
