Family Tree Maker Connect 2.0 for Family Tree Maker 2024

Is Family Tree Maker 2024 close to release? The iOS/iPadOS and Android mobile apps by Software MacKiev, Family Tree Maker Connect, have been updated in the past couple of days, with some major changes, including updates that reference FTM 2024 changes.

Edit: Since I’ve been asked! I do not have direct knowledge of any FTM 2024 release dates; however, I have a fairly solid understanding of App Store releases (both Apple and Google Play). Taking into account that MacKiev already has a long-established presence in both app stores (which greatly speeds up the process), Apple typically tries to get updated app versions through the approval process within 24-48 hours (usually sooner). Google is even faster. I believe that FTM Connect 2.0 (the mobile apps) needed to be out before FTM 2024 goes live, because the previous version of FTM Connect would not have supported FTM 2024. This is not a case of Charting Companion 9 (from Progeny) being released with FTM 2024 support a month or two ago – Charting Companion simply reads the FTM files, and the specs would have been known much earlier this year (I think February).

FTM Connect 2.0 is an official MacKiev app that integrates directly with the new FTM 2024 features and it has to be out in advance of FTM 2024.

These are some features in both stores that specifically mention FTM 2024 (others don’t say 2024, but reference new features in FTM 2024)

Requires Family Tree Maker version 2024 desktop software, a TreeVault account, and an Antenna tree uploaded to TreeVault cloud services.
